Agile and it's variants are powerful and useful, but there are also times when nothing will do but to calculate a critical path. This book is a great guide to the classic PMBOK methods of which every Project Manager should have a strong command -- even in primarily Agile environments.
The book was particularly helpful to us at Synaptic a we developed out Risk Modulated Project Management -- RMPM(TM) -- framework.
